The Future of Health and Care: Reform, Partnership and Place
Main Stage
Health and care reform, neighbourhood health and devolution are reshaping how services are designed and delivered. As the focus shifts towards prevention, integration and place-based leadership, collaboration between local government, the NHS and regional partners will be critical to improving outcomes for communities.
Chaired by Alison Barker, Chief Executive of North Lincolnshire Council and Solace Deputy Policy Lead for Health and Social Care, this session brings together Ben Dyson, Director for Adult Social Care Strategy, Funding & Integrated Care at DHSC, and Sam Allen CBE, Chief Executive of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, to explore the future of health and care reform. Discussion will cover adult social care, neighbourhood health, the opportunities presented by devolution and the role of Mayoral Strategic Authorities, alongside practical lessons on how the NHS and local government can work together to deliver more integrated, preventative and locally responsive services
