  • Will you be filming or photographing the Summit?
    Please be advised that filming and/or photography will be taking place for the duration of the Solace Summit. If you do not wish to appear in any images captured please notify a member of Solace staff so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included. The photographs/film may be used by Solace in publications, promotional materials and may also be published on the Solace website or social media channels.
  • Will there be Wi-Fi at the venue?
    Yes, Wi-Fi will be available. Network details will be displayed around the venue, but if in doubt, ask a member of Solace staff for the details.
  • How do I get from Birmingham International Train Station to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole?
    From the entrance/exit of the train St (upstairs), turn right following the signs for the NEC. Continue down the concourse and at the end you will see escalators leading down into the NEC. Once through the doors veer to your right and follow the signs for the exit. Outside the NEC there are signs for the hotel. Walk in the direction of the lake and then turn left, the path then leads you to the hotel, this is also sign posted.
  • Are all Summit-related events taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole?
    In short, yes! We've arranged for the full programme of activities and events to take place in one location for maximum convenience. That means you don't have to worry about moving across multiple locations and can take the time to enjoy networking with colleagues from across the industry, meeting our business partners, exhibitors and sponsors, or even spending some time in the hotel gym. 😉
  • I can no longer attend; can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
    Tickets can be transferred to a nominated party subject to an administration fee of £25.00 + VAT but please be aware there may also be an additional charge if the you are a Solace member and your nominated party is not a current Solace member.     We're working hard behind the scenes to publish a preview of the Summit programme. We've got some incredible speakers and sessions in store and are excited to share the details with you.   • What is 'An Evening with Solace'?
    An Evening with Solace is a signature Summit event focused on bringing people together in a relaxed and informal way from across the sector for an evening of good company and great conversations. We have a selection of street food, alcoholic, soft drinks, and games on offer. This year at Summit we will be hosting a Charity Casino night in in aid of our chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation. All monies donated to play/participate will go through our Just Giving page and prizes will be donated by our fabulous Business Partners & Sponsors. There is no obligation on anyone to play – everyone attending the Solace Summit is welcome to come and relax alongside friends and colleagues, chatting and watching and supporting their participation throughout the evening. Mindful of this being an evening of fun and friendship there will also be a maximum total donation set for participation in the Charity Casino games. An Evening with Solace is kindly sponsored by EY.
  • Can anyone attend 'An Evening with Solace'?
    All delegates (including sponsors, exhibitors and business partners) with an individual ticket are welcome to join us for An Evening with Solace. There’s no need to RSVP, simply pop by and join us on the 12th for some street food, drinks and games. The dress code for this event is smart-casual. An Evening with Solace is kindly sponsored by EY.
  • Can you tell me more about the Summit Charity Dinner on Thursday?
    Absolutely. This year's Summit Charity Dinner is in aid of British Heart Foundation (find out more here: as chosen by Solace President and Chief Executive of Dorset Council, Matt Prosser. If you have an individual ticket, this includes attendance at both social events: An Evening with Solace & Summit Charity Dinner Dress code: Lounge suits.
  • Is seating allocated at the Summit Charity Dinner?
    A small number of seats will be allocated. If this applies to you, then rest assured we will be in touch. The majority of seats are up for grabs, so find some friends and pull up a chair.

    Allergies and dietary requirements should have been advised at the point of booking. However we understand that sometimes circumstances change. Should you need to amend your dietary requirements, please do so at your earliest convenience by emailing
  • I'll be driving to the Summit. Is parking available at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole?
    Parking is available at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on a first come first served basis at a cost of £12 per car per night.
  • How can I book accommodation for the Solace Summit?
    Solace have secured a preferential rate at Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel for those joining us in for the annual Solace Summit and Trailblazer precursor event. The rates are: 1 night £172 + VAT one night only 2 nights £167 + VAT per night 3 nights is £165 + VAT per night Rooms are available to book for the evenings of Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th October. The rooms that have preferential rates are based on single occupancy with bed and breakfast. Allocation of rooms is based on Run of House availability; this may include single bedded, twin bedded and double bedded rooms. If you would like to book a room, your booking will be processed by our accommodation partner, Event-X. Please send a Purchase Order to to confirm your hotel booking.     We've secured a preferential room rate of £172.00 (+VAT) per night based on single occupancy.
  • If I'm attending the Solace Summit, do I have to stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole?
    Whilst we recommend staying at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for convenience, there are a number of alternative hotels in the NEC complex that are within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
